For the past week (except for a day or two of recovery), I’ve been attending concerts and helping out with the Second International Conference on Minimalist Music, which is a project my husband has been working on for over a year.

The topic has very little to do with my everyday work, but like many people who I’ve talked with from the conference, it has inspired me to get going on my next projects and maybe take a fresh look at what I’m doing and how.

Mostly, it’s just been a privilege to be around performers, scholars, and composers who approach their work with such dedication and commitment, and often, a great sense of fun.
