DevLearn 12 – Official Conference App - Find out what’s going on when and where. Make your own personalized schedule. Share pics. Connect with speakers and attendees. Tweet. Login: Use the email address you used to register for the conference. Password: devlearn (all lower case, no spaces)
Tappestry - Record what you’ve learned to share with your team, and take the opportunity to connect with others, as well. There is a special group for DevLearn… I’m told that logging in to Tappestry, choosing to join a group, and using 8990 as the PIN will put you in the group.
Glassboard - This is our app for ongoing conversation. It’s private and great for anything from “where are y’all eating?” to “cool stuff happening here now”.
CamCard Lite - When you get a business card from someone else, you can use a card scanning app to snap a picture and OCR it into your contacts. I tested a few of them last year for TechKnowledge and liked CamCard Lite best. There is also an ad-free version for $5. (Tip: Even if you don’t want to OCR received cards in the moment, snap a picture. That way, you can’t lose the info, and you can import/OCR it later. I highly recommend doing the same with any receipts… because I lose them.)
We’re also testing out some apps for group collaboration… I’ll report back after the conference what we found and liked.
