M.Ed. Study Course Posted – Using Social Media for Your Job Search

My M.Ed. study has started!

The course, Using Social Media for Your Job Search, is at elearningresearch.org. Please feel free to take the course and invite your friends and colleagues. They don’t need to know anything about social media; this is a course for novices. It will be live through April 25. Estimated seat time is 20-30 minutes.

If you’re interested in the study results, I will be posting my report, data, and both versions of the course online in a few weeks. Thank you for participating!

M.Ed. Capstone Invite Coming Soon!

In about a week, I’m going to post a link here, inviting you to participate in my M.Ed. capstone project.

I’m testing two courses against each other in terms of engagement and retention. The study will be open for about a week, and at some point after that, I will make the report, the courses, and the data completely open to the public. I sincerely hope this research tells us something instructive about effective elearning design.

The trouble is…

1) I’m not as interested in this design approach as when I started the project.

2) I’ve designed this course to isolate the variables I’m testing, but it’s not necessarily how I would design courses for clients. As a sample of my work, it’s not going to be representative (or my best work).

How’s that for an oversell? Stay tuned!
